After a few weeks or so in the Beaverfoot valley it was time
to move on.
With promises to meet again, to many of our new friends, we found Hwy
1 and headed east. A short road trip to Calgary, Edmonton, and Jasper then back
down to Lake Louise.
We had a great time meeting up with friends and some
family of mine I never really knew. I feel totally blessed by others since
being in Canada. Those times when you meet strangers, who then have you in
their home, feed you and give you great conversation. Then they send you on
your way with a appreciation for how other people spend their time, how much
some people sacrifice for others, or send you with a full picnic lunch -which
lasts you for dinner and the next breakfast as well.
We have seen some amazing country side, I almost feel like
being selfish and not showing anyone the photos we have taken and making you
come here yourself. I won’t be like that, but truly the Rockies are just as
amazing in real life and I would recommend anyone who likes mountains and
nature to come on over!
The road from Jasper to Lake Louise, Hwy 93, allows you to
drive by so close on route to a destination, that it feels like the road is the
destination.
Currently we are in Revelstoke enjoying the company of, and
working for an amazing family who again were strangers and have welcomed us
into there home, we feel truly blessed already. We hope we to can return the
favours in other ways while we are here working for them.
We have had time to do some great rock climbing, such a
great way to spend a day off with friends. We have also done a weekend of
mountain biking here in Revelstoke, when I say weekend of mountain biking, I
mean I did one ride and all the others did about four.
Ok, so yeah that’s about where we are at now. We love Revy
already, climbing is my sport of choice currently, and eating vegetarian with
less bread, and having access to a great coffee machine, is so good!!
just a few of a million photos

Wow you guys! There you are in the middle of this vast and beautiful wilderness and you show us three croci waving their perfect little purple heads in the rockery. You are artists. It is breathtakingly awesome scenery and I get what you mean about being 'in' the landscape and isn't that the most accurate description about the journey being the destination. Perfect harmony. And once again your writing is so alive and vibrant. Thanks for letting us live vicariously for a moment. Love you both just lovely to chat.xx
